The Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Orange County was established in 1986 in Santa Ana, California. HCOC is a no-profit corporation governed by a Board of Directors. Membership includes small and mid-sized business, public and private entities and large corporations. The Chamber is an affiliate of the California Chamber of Commerce and the United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.

The goals of the chamber are:

• To promote economic programs to strengthen and expand the income potential of Hispanic businesses with the trade area.

• To participate as partners in support of civic, social, cultural and legislative programs designed to enhance the quality of life of the Hispanic community and the business opportunities of our members.

National Latina Business Women Associaton (OC)

The Orange County chapter of the National Latina Business Women Association (NLBWA) was formed in July 2004. The organization is dedicated to encouraging Latinas to develop their business and professional goals through education, business referrals, networking and mentoring.

Our vision is to meet the needs of the growing ranks of Latina entrepreneurs, executives and professionals by creating more representation, visibility and business opportunities for our members in the world of business and at the executive and professional levels of Corporate America.

NLBWA-OC offers a number of activities for our members throughout the year, including:

Empowered Woman

An Empowered Woman is a forum designed for women to empower each other through sharing their stories, challenges and victories. We do this through our books, TV & radio shows, seminars and Second Sunday Series.

Since 1984, Desiree Doubrox, CEO & Founder of Empowered Woman, has frequented hundreds of seminars.
